Richard Simms is a Digital Artist with disciplines in Broadcast Graphics, Photography and Compositing. 

Working around the world producing content and implementing broadcast graphics for live news, sports and entertainment means his portfolio includes work for many different global broadcast clients, advertising agencies and digital media companies.


Richard enjoys conceptualising, creating and developing concepts, and turning them into ready-for-transmission broadcast graphics by providing a complete design and animation solution. Richard works with all the industry-standard content creation tools, which are integral to any design project.


Richard is known for his unique ability to seamlessly combine both technical and creative aspects of broadcast graphics in order to highly artistic designs with feature-rich content.


Richard has worked across many different projects, from designing; Scheduled channel branded graphic, Automated template-based Match graphics, Presenter touch-screens applications, Augmented reality graphics, Virtual Reality studio sets, Corporate presentations and lighting and producing green-shoots shoots. 


Richard has recently produced broadcast graphics, which have been interrogated into an automated scheduling system. He has consulted on and designed virtual sets, concepts and designed material for presentations on projects worth over several million pounds. He has produced live-to-air virtual graphics for major sporting events, created entire graphics for television channels and live action commercials.


Richard has a post graduate degree in Computer Animation and a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia Technology. As well as A-levels in Photography and Art & Design. He further developed his skills at FXPHD and gained certificates in; Matte Painting and Digital Environments. Advanced Nuke III. Integrating Maya and Nuke. Grading. DSLR Cinematography. Maya in Production. Nuke and Stereoscopic.


Collaborating with groups of other extremely talented designers and developers, Richard aims to deliver the best solution possible throughout all stages in the production process.
